Another One Just Bee-cause!

The bees were busy and noisy in our garden today, they must have known that I was focusing on them yesterday.  So I thought I would share another ATC I made today with them as the theme.  I love this cute little bee which is from one of my Unity KOTM Sets.

This ATC is done with a combination of stamps, Gelatos, Inktense Pencils, and Letraset Metallic Markers and was inspired by the colors of the Cuphea which line our driveway which were buzzing with the bees today and the beautiful blue sky of a glorious autumn day.

Just Bee-cause!

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far.   I've been a bit quite of late as I been battling a bit of pain with a recent flair up of my spondylitis and also some issues with my neck being out which has been causing headaches and nausea.   Needless to say I have been lying down a lot and not staying in one position for too long.

I have also been concentrating on getting some sewing done.  I should have warned you to sit down before reading the last sentence as it is just as big a shock to my system as it is yours.......lol.  I've been taking up legs on "A"s clothing - ie. winter school uniforms, new jeans for our trip away and sewing badges on scout uniforms.  Let me just say that if you were a fly on the wall watching you definitely would have got a laugh quite a few times.

Today I had a few spare minutes so I had a chance to play with my Gelatos and create a couple of Bee themed ATC's which was a theme I saw currently running over at ATC's for All.  However I was too late to sign up for it.

My first one is simply done by drawing stripes onto the background, blending with my finger and then stencilling some Gesso through a piece of Punchinella and further coloring with my Gelato before adding the cute stamped bees.

This second card has been created by stamping with my Gelatos.  (Add color to stamp and wet to achieve a watercolor look).  I then added a touch of further color and blending with my finger.

I really do love the versatility of the Faber Castell Gelatos.  If you haven't heard or seen them before you can check them out here.
