Some Unity Projects to Share for Friday Friends with Flair

Hi all its Friday again, which means its time for me to show you some of the projects I have created this week using my Unity Stamps and link up with the Unity Friday Friends with Flair Post.

My first project I am going to share is a Gift Card Holder and Thank You Card Combo which I created using the Unity KOTM Sketch for August (you'll find this Challenge over on the Unity Blog).  For this I have simply used the Circle Thank You Sentiment from thr Unity April Kit of the Month.

The second project was a simple layout I did for the Mad About Scrappin August Sketch Challenge.  When I saw this sketch was using a banner I knew it was the perfect excuse for me to break out the new 'Life Documented Banner' Stamps I won recently whilst playing along with a Tag Challenge over at My Unity Place (see the link on my side bar for this).  I also used the word Uncle from the April KOTM for this layout aswell.

The challenge also asked for texture.  I have used some white Tuelle/Mesh Ribbon which I have laid across the torn bits of spotty paper under the photo and my Divine Swirl Cuttlebug Folder.  I have layered my embossed circle debossed side up over a doilley which I coloured purple with ink.

This layout is a picture of my hubby back in 1993 holding his first Nephew.  Luke in this photo was just two weeks old.....its hard to believe he is now 18.

If you are looking for some more Unity Goodness and inspiration be sure to pop over to the Unity Blog and checkout all the other entries to Friday Friends with Flair and grab a bargain or two as it is also $5 Feature Friday.

Christmas Gift Tag Holder and Tags

Today I want to share with you a sample I made based on an idea I saw at my friend Julie's at Time to Create.  I liked the look of this cute Gift Tag holder when I saw it, so I came home and made one from scratch without instruction.  As they say practise makes perfect, as I did encounter a few hiccups along the way, but finally got them sorted.   I think it is slightly smaller than the one I saw at Julie's but for my first attempt I can change the size if required.

This was the also the first time I used the new Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up! which I have to say I am in love with.  I have applied ink to the inside of the folder before running it through the Big Shot, so you get a two tone appearance.  I used the new Colour Cherry Cobbler on Red Riding Hood Cardstock.

The other colour I used for the inside of my gift tag holder and coordinating tags was Old Olive along with some retired Christmas DSP.  The main stamp set used was the new set Contempo Christmas as well as one sentiment from the Best Yet Set which was a hostess gift last year.  The tags were from a Cuttlebug Die Set.

I think this idea would make a cute gift idea, don't you?
