WHAT INSPIRED ME!
The inspiration photo above screams Autumn to me,
and the butterflies on the card sketch caught my eye also.
Contemplating the color palette I also thought
it would be perfect for a male card.

Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere signifies Thanksgiving,
so my first card had being grateful in mind.
This card uses the inspiration colors and card sketch.

Supplies:  Paper - Basic Grey, Cardstock - Stampin' Up!, Stamps - Unity Blessings Stamp from Feb 2012 SMAK Kit & Butterfly from April 2011 KOTM, Other:  Chalk - SU, Flower Bling, Striped Ribbon - Pink Paislee

My second card incorporates the inspiration colors, has lots of butterflies
and uses the cracked glass technique.

Supplies: Cardstock - Quill, Stamps - Unity Dream Big Itty Bitty, Other:  Gelatos - Faber Castell, Clear UTEE Embossing Powder, Striped Ribbon - Pink Paislee, Twine and Button

My third card once more incorporates the inspiration colors
and was made with a male recipient in mind.

Supplies:  Paper - Basic Grey, Cardstock - Quill, Stamps - Unity Candles and Cake (Wit and Wisdom) Itty Bitty, Other:  Gelatos - Faber Castell, Black Ink and Embossing Powder, Ric Rac.

So are you feeling inspired yet?
There's heaps more wonderful inspiration to follow.

Your next stop on the Unity {be inspired} Hop is the very talented Angie Blom

Sponged Color & Scallops Swap Card

Good Morning and a Big Hello to my new followers this week!  This week so far has seen me creating some cards which are overdue for a swap.  I had to create a card which included scallops, so I tried out a new SVG cutting file on my Sizzix Eclips.  The file is from the Cutting Cafe and part of a Shaped Card Collection.

The front is actually rectangular whilst the back overlaps bigger than the front with a scallop edge.

I have initially lightly sponged three colors across my front panel.  Those colors being Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist all from Stamping up.  I then took my main image and sentiment and using Versamark stamped them and then taking some clear embossing powder embossed them.  The light sponged color showing through.

Again using my three chosen colors I added more depth of color to my background, blending the Old Olive across both of the other colors.  Around the edges I distressed with Tattered Rose and Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

To finish I took the Sizzix/Stampin' Up! Embosslits Beautiful Wings and die cut/embossed 3 butterflies out of a brown patterned paper scrap and added some green bling to the flowers of the stamped image and some Old Olive Ribbon to the bottom of the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges.

Stamping for the Weekend - #18 Feeling Floral
Paper Crafting Journey - My Sentiment Exactly
Charisma Cards - #37 Things with Wings
Cute Card Thursday - #235 A Different Shape
Paper Playtime - #84 Punches + A Sentiment

PTT #86 Color/Pic Inspiration

Sassy Studio Designs and Fancy Pants Designs are two of this weeks fabulous sponsors at Party Time Tuesdays.  They have kindly provided myself and my fellow Party Planners some wonderful products to work with for our Color Inspiration/Picture Challenge which are the beautiful colors of fall.

I had to ad lib a little as I didn't have the exact colors in my stash however.  So I guess you could say that I rolled with it!.  The image is called Roller Sassy and two papers I have immediately under my image are from the Time for Spring Collection by Fancy Pants Designs. I have colored Roller Sassy with my Tria Markers and Stamped the Sentiment using my Just Rite Times New Roman Alphabet.

We are joined this week by My Favorite Things as a Sponsor also.

I do hope you get a chance to break out your Autumn Stash and play along with our Challenge this week.  For more fabulous inspiration be sure to head over to the PTT Blog.
