The Poodles Parlour Farewell Challenge

Sadly this fortnight's Thank You/Thanks Giving Card Challenge will be the last for the Poodles Parlour as Jacqui has had to make the hard decision to finish up in order to concentrate on some personal issues she is currently experiencing.  So it seems fitting that we finish with a Thank You Challenge - as all the DT would like to say thank you to you our wonderful supporters and thank you to Jacqui for giving us the opportunity to be on the team.

I can't resist cute animal digi's or fun pun sentiments so I have combined the two for a quick CAS Thank You Card.

The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes

Hi Everyone I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your weekend!  I was awoken early this morning by 100's of screeching cockatoo's.  They have been absent from around our home for months but with it being some time since we have had decent rain everything is dry so no doubt they are looking for food, and they found it at our house this morning, given we had only last night put some seed out for the lorikeets and king parrots which we feed.  So my early rise has seen me get some work done and I sat down here realising that I totally forgot to schedule my post for the latest Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes Challenge.

This week we are joined by Milk Coffee as are Sponsor and the design team was lucky enough to get to play with some of there gorgeous images.

My card uses the image Charlotte Paper Ship.

I have used a swirly background paper from K & Co to resemble waves and the reverse side was perfect for a Sunny Sky.  She looks so dreamy in her little paper ship that I thought a Thinking of You Sentiment would be a great match for this image.  Charlotte and her paper ship are colored with Tria Markers, and I have added a little Kindy Glitz along the waves.

The Poodles Parlour - Halloween Challenge

Hi I'm back again for the second time today to kick off the start of a new Challenge over at The Poodles Parlour.  This fortnight we want to see all things spooky with creations for Halloween.

This very cute image is from Bugaboo Stamps who are our sponsors this week and is called Cat + Peeker

I have teamed it up with some Basic Grey Papers, an Elegant Eggplant Card Base (Dark Purple) a spiders web cutting file and some Dew Drops from the Robin's Nest.  This very cute image isn't too scary but it sure looks like he's a scare-dy cat.  I have colored him with my Tria Markers.

The Poodles Parlour - Tag It Challenge

Hi Everyone!  Hope you are having a great Friday!  I have and to top it off I have just enjoyed some fresh prawns and a nice glass of wine for dinner.  I think I mentioned in an earlier post that September is a month full of birthdays, so be prepared for a lot of birthday themed posts in the coming days starting with today's.

This fortnight's challenge at the Poodles Parlour is called Tag It.  Which is pretty straight forward we want to see a tag in your creation.  It can be a card with a tag or simply a tag on its own which is what I have done.

The Poodles Parlour - For the Girls Challenge

Hi Everyone!  This fortnights challenge at The Poodles Parlour is one for the Girls, we want to see you break  out everything in your stash that you would class as girly and use it on your cards!

This week we are joined by a new sponsor and recently new Digi Company - Papelitos Stamps so be sure to check out all the DT Inspiration  for our challenge to see some more of their images in use.  I have used their image Vicky on my card today, colored with Tria Markers.

Pink, Sparkly Glittery Paper, Flowers, Bling, Butterflies and more glitter are all the girly things that I found in my stash to create this card today!  The Paper and my all time favorite Bling - Dew Drops are from The Robin's Nest and the beautiful punched butterfly was a little extra I received from a recent swap buddy in a card swap.  I have also added some Crystallina Kindy Glitz to this and the centers of the flowers.

So is this what you class as girly?   I am guessing fashion and shopping might be on this list  and I can't wait to see if there's any other different ideas out there too. 

Also a special mention - I am entering this card into a special challenge this week over at Dawn's Crafting which is Breast Cancer Awareness/Think Pink!  Dawn's mum is currently battling cancer so she is having this challenge to help raise awareness and funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.  So if you can spare a minute or a dollar she'd love your support.

The Poodles Parlour - Winged Things Challenge!

Hi Everyone!  I hope this post finds you well.  I am posting this today from a house full of sick people with 3 out of 4 of us currently battling a cold or the flu.  I had been doing well to keep sickness at bay this winter following Rod being sick a few weeks back.  Late last week I showed signs of something with my glands and face all sore and swollen which settled down but then Rod has had the flu go through his workplace.  He  has come down worse then last time and has ever so kindly chosen to share his germs.  We have the last day of a three day course to attend tomorrow so hopefully we are both feeling a little better and well enough to go otherwise we will have to do it all again.  I think we will have to quarantine ourselves to the back of the room.  Anyway onto the challenge at hand!

Its time for a new challenge at The Poodles Parlour and this fortnight we want to see Winged Things on your creations, be it a fairy, a bird or a butterfly.  As long as it has wings, it will qualify.

For my card this week I am using the image Marcia's Chicken from The Digi Garden teamed with some leftover Authentique Papers from the project I shared with you on Tuesday.  I really loved the pretty combination of colors in this Delightful Collection and I have colored Marcia and her chicken in contrast with my Tria Markers.

The Poodles Parlour - Die Cuts Challenge

Hi Everyone!  I have some exciting news to tell you all today and that is I am now a member of the Poodles Parlour DT where I am joining a lovely bunch of ladies bringing you a fun challenge every fortnight.

This weeks Challenge is to use Die Cuts on your Projects.

For My Card I have used a number of dies - The background is the Top Note Die by Sizzix for Stampin' Up!.  I have used this twice and on the top layer have cut it back to the stictched edge so that it reveals the bottom one.  My larger flowers are using the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Die and the Blue Circle Frame and inner circle are using my Spellbinders Nesting Circle Dies.  My Sentiment Circle and Smaller flowers are both punched elements.

The adorable image is Kirby's Rose from the Digi Garden.  I fell in love with their images a while back when they were sponsoring Party Time Tuesdays.

Our challenge sponsor is Mei Flowers who sell a wonderful assortment of ribbons, and embellishments for your card making.
