Giving a Gift that Gives

I wanted to give a girlfriend of mine a little gift as way of saying thanks for all she has done for me over the past few months.  I was thinking it might be nice to give her some hand made cards that she can then use to give to others, but I was stuck for how to present these to her, as I didn't just want to wrap them up.

I saw a tutorial on a stamping website for a delightful little Christmas Themed card purse so thought I could adapt this to what I wanted to do.

So here it is.......my card purse which I have made five cards to include with it as my gift.

I chose to use a blue and white colour scheme (Stampin' Up! In Colours Baja Breeze & Pacific Point with Whisper White) for all the cardstock & ink and the the Eastern Blooms Stamp Set (this one is included in the Stampin' Up! Starter Kit).

I really love this stamp sets lovely floral designs, so I chose to keep the floral theme running by choosing one of the floral papers from the Baja Breeze Patterns Designer Papers along with one from the Urban Garden Designer Series both in Baja Breeze tonings.

For the sentiments on the cards I used the Sincere Salutations Stamp Set, which gave me a good selection to choose from.  Other items used on both the purse and cards include four buttons from the Button Bouquet Designer Buttons Collection, Baja Breeze Satin Ribbon from the Ribbon Originals Pack, and two Clear Rhinestone Brads.

I just love how they all turned out and will be sorry to part with them (maybe I am bias because I love the colour blue).  The calming feel of the Baja Breeze Blue and the Crisp Clean look of the Pacific Point on the White Cardstock go together perfectly.  I think my girlfriend will just love it.
