WOYWW! - I'm joining in the fun!

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful day.  Today being Wednesday and all I have decided to join in the sharing of what is on my work desk, for What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday #215.  I have occasionally been following this link up taking place each Wednesday as two of my fellow Altered Pages Design Team Members participate with this wonderful group regularly and I kinda love the idea of being able to take a peek at what someone else is up to.

My desk is a bit cleaner than normal following a bit of a rearrange and tidy up a few weeks back and also having just finished playing with some UTEE (very messy stuff where I am concerned) I had cleared everything off and wiped my desk down and then placed things back neatly until I make my next mess.  The floor at present is a different story but nothing that  a good vacuum won't fix.

On my desk to the left is a scrapbook page I have yet to finish (I find finding embellishments for boys/men hard at times).  This one is of 'A' being inducted into scouts a couple of months ago.

The container in the middle is one of the cheap lunch boxes I brought a few weeks back in an attempt to reorganize my embellishments into color ways.  This one is for all things Black and White.

The pile of oriental collage images, Japanese Yuzen/Washi Papers on the right is what I have been using more recently to create a couple of cards (seen on top of the pile) for a Altered Pages Design Team Post and at the top left is some Dragonfly themed ATC's using napkins as the backgrounds for a swap I am participating in.  This is my first time using Napkins on my ATC's.

I do actually have two work desks in my craftroom come office, the second one is where I am sitting right now typing this post.  I will perhaps show you this one another time.

Okay so that's it from me for now, I am off to see what everyone else has on their Workdesk this Week!

I have always found it hard to get embellishments for men and boys. Coming up with new ideas all the time is becoming harder.

I am like you I have a desk for my computer.

It feels so good when you get your desk cleaned up. Unfortunately mind doesn't stay clean long when I'm working. Blessings!

Nice looking little play area, Danie! I 'tried' to spruce mine up a week ago but today, alas, it looks like I"ve done absolutely nothing, LOL!

Thank you for the lovely comment. It's nice someone can relate to my poem. I have a ? about the UTEE. Do you have a melting pot for it? Or do you melt it in another way?? Someone suggested I try it with my paper beads. I can't afford a melting pot. I can buy lots of watercolor pencils & crayons for the price of a melting pot. I saw a whole bunch of "Scouts" embellies at Joanne Fabrics not to long ago. I love the Oriental papers. Have you seen the "Bird SOng" line of card stock paper by Graphi 45? It is a beautiful line of oriental images. I really need to find and get involved in an ATC swap. I've never done that before. But I have seen some awesome swaps here on WOYWW. Thanks again for the sweet comment. (((HUGS)))

How good is that - two desks in the room. I wish I had and then I could maybe sew a bit more. Unfortunately the room is too tiny. Still, I do have a room for crafting.
Welcomed to WOYWW anyway, and hope you come back week after week.
Thanks for visiting me earlier - Hugs, Neet 14 xx

Great organized desk. I usually pick up male embellishments when I see them (if not too costly) as I have 2 sons (grown now, but I'm still working on their albums, or so I like to tell myself)

Hi Danielle
your desk is looking nice and tidy and I find after using UTEE or embossing powder I have to take everything off the desk and clean it all down
have a great day enjoy the rest of your week

Good morning, Danielle and welcome to WOYWW! I don't think I do many masculine pages . . . if you like Tim Holtz's stuff at all, things like gears and clock faces might make good embellishments. Metal brads, maybe, if you have some on hand? That size container looks really useful for corraling embellishments by color. Have a good day! ~ Laura #101

Welcome to WOYWW! Thanks so much for visiting my unusually clean desk too. I love those oriental images you have stacked up--what fun! I can imagine cards, tags, layouts, all kinds of things to create. Sandy Leigh #6

I too find it difficult to find embellishments for masculine projects. Love those cards. Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting #13

Hi Danie, thanks fro swinging by my blog...I love to organise by colour, makes things so much easier. I tend to make my own embellishments for male cards, just too hard to find off the shelf. Happy WOYWW. Cx #36

Hi danie, welcome to the addiction that is WOYWW. Lovely stash on your very tidy desk- I agree, mens/male embellishments are the hardest. Especially if your particular men are not very sporty/beer/fishing/golf minded! Have a great week, Hugs Shaz xx #50

Well Danie May, my dt sis, so glad to see Daniella and I could entice you to join in this week. Your desk is sooooo organized, looks fabulous.

I just want you to know, that kitty does not always sleep. When she is awake and I'm working, she'll jump on the table an put her paw on something. If I say no, she pulls back and then tries with something else, until I stop what I'm doing and wad up a piece of paper to throw for her.

Spoiled rotten cat. ;)

it is funny desk layouts don't really vary that much all over the world .... its jus the view and the light that changes.... the 'stuff' is the same too.

Your desk is so very tidy!! I love the collage bits and ATC's. I just wrote an article for AA about using napkins in art. I've seen a few others doing paper napkin things. She better put it in soon before no one will want to learn how to do it anymore!! LOL!!
And conrats to your son! That is a big accomplishment!!

Great idea to separate embellies by colour.
Your oriental art notecards are really pretty...I peeked at another post! I find masculine layouts or cards hard too...whenever I see one on pinterest, I pin it right away to use for inspiration! lol I need all the help I can get.

I hope your new embellishment organization works well for you. I never have figured out a good way to organize them! lol :) Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my messy desk already...and you know, if we had a room twice as big as our current ones we would probably still run out of space for all the things we want in there! lol :)

Love your idea of embellishments in the plastic boxes - I have mine in cardboard boxes & have to remember to write on them so I know what is where.
I too have a 2-desk craft room but at the moment piled with boxes.

Two workdesks? - now that sounds like a really great idea, although I don't think I could fit another one into my little craft room, never mind the trouble we had getting the current one up the spiral staircase!

We are one of the lucky ones that have plenty of space for our crafting but I must admit for 16 years I wasn't that lucky!! lol!! The upside of going back to work full time...more money to spend but less crafting time. Thanks for stopping by my desk. Vikki #95

nice neat and tidy desk...hope you mess it up soon. My desk is a real mess most of the time but I enjoy it being that way! I am a person who uses what she sees so if it is in a box or a drawer it will stay unused. Welcome to WOYWW and I am sure you will enjoy it! Vickie #121

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - I can answer in 2 words what my new ARTHaven will look like once I get all my stuff in and I'm creating again - "A Mess" lol lol!!! At least, I shall try not to make it a mess - we shall see!

Thanks for dropping by and finding me.
