F is for Friends

Last week I participated in a card swap with some fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.  The swap was an open swap with the only criteria being that all products used had to be Stampin' Up!

I received eleven beautiful card fronts in this swap to use as examples in my Stampin' Up! Workshops to inspire my customers as well as give me some inspiration. I love seeing how everyone's imaginaiton works so differently when it comes to using the same stamp set etc.

There was one particular card I recieved in this swap that inspired the two cards I am sharing with you today.  They are in no way anything like the card I received in the swap but the card I speak of did inspire me to seek out the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set and use three colour layers on layers.

I have used the Vintage Vogue set quite a bit, but not the stamp of the letter F which has the word Friends on it, so in a way I set myself a challenge to design a card using this stamp suitable to sell at markets.  I have been busy making cards to sell cos' in about four weeks I will be going to the Lismore Car Boot Market to sell my cards, and promote my SU Business.

(The picture to the left is a close up of a stamped image using Vintage Vogue - F (friends) Stamp from Stampin' Up!)

Here are the two cards I came up with using F for Friends.

I am going to go with the card on the right for the markets, and make this in a couple of different colours.  The card on the left, I will keep for my own stash of cards for family and friends, as I don't have many choices in ribbon this size in different colours to make for the markets.

Hope you like them.

I love them, Danielle!! Beautiful colors and great design work with the pretty florals at the corners.

Very complementary to the original card. Both cards should be top-sellers.
