My husband's uncle died over the weekend, he had not been a well man of late, and he had lost his wife about 5 years back to MS. Immediately upon thinking of a Sympathy Card I reached for my Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! This is the card I came up with to send to his daughter and her family. I still have another card to make Rod's mum.
The rose in the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set has been a favorite of mine for doing Sympathy Cards and I love experiementing with different ways of using this image. For this card I have used white ink and clear embossing powder to create a resist on Gloss Card and than used my Water Colour Pencils and Aqua Brush to colour in the rose.
My photography skills are not the best and they don't do this card justice, I have taken it indoors on a wet and miserable day, and it is making the Rich Razzleberry look more like Elegant Egg Plant. For my second Sympathy Card I think I will try something with my Eastern Blooms Stamp Set and will post it here later once complete.
