Medallion with a Twist

I weaved some more Medallion Magic again this past week, by using my Medallion Stamp by Stampin' Up with a twist.  By twist I mean literally twisting the stamp and I created some gorgeous combinations for card fronts.  As a magician never gives away all their secrets I am only sharing one of my creations with you today.  But I am sure you will get the idea. 

You simply stamp different colours using the medallion stamp, each time layering on top of the previous colour but slightly twisting it so that the points/peaks of the stamp don't overlay exactly.  For the card above I used a combination of So Saffron and Pacific Point, as you can see as well as twisting I have slightly lowered the So Saffron image so it is slightly offset.  Have a play and you can create many different looks, by doing similar to this one or keeping the image on top of the previous one more exactly and simply twisting.  Try using three or four different colours.  My favorite Stampin' Up! Colour Combination of the night (just a small hint of some of my other creations) was Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence and Night of Navy, whilst another great combination was Choc Chip, Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette. 

By the way I much prefer using this stamp on square cards as you get more of the medallion image on the card front.  This card was 12cm x 12cm square.  The above design was fairly plain, I simply added a brad to each corner, however you may like to jazz them up further by adding a clear rhinestone brad to the centre of the medallion, a Felt Flower from the Flower Fusion Sets, or some dazzling diamonds.
