Yes its time for another Tangled Up in Creativity Challenge. This week it is being hosted by Karen at her Simply Said with Karen Blog.
She has asked us to create a card depicting what the upcoming season means to us!
This card was created using papers from the new Lap of Luxury Designer Paper Series and Just Believe Stamp Sets by Stampin' Up!
Spring is my favorite time of the year, as it not only marks the change of season, which means gardens bursting with new colour, and warmer days ahead, it also marks more time spent with family and friends enjoying the outdoors. For my family September is a busy month with birthdays, including my own and my husband Rod and I usually take holidays during this time as well.
After a few wonderful days away with my best friend Toni and her husband John, we have returned to our garden filled with sweet scents, beautiful colours and many new feathered friends.
A Bottlebrush Tree is the centre piece of our outdoor entertaining area, providing adequate shade to our tropical garden. Currently in full bloom, the rainbow lorikeets are frequenting our garden on a daily basis to feed.
During the first days of Spring, I mark the end of my winter hibernation by spending a pleasant day in the yard planting up several hanging baskets with purple, mauve and white petunias, and a few other new flowering plants.
These hanging baskets are also home to a rather large family of green frogs. It is a daily ritual during the warmer months for my husband and I to sit outside and watch them all emerge from their day retreats and plop into the garden and join the chorus of the night.
This spring we have seen the best ever display of purple and white flowers on our Yesterday, Today and Tommorrow Shrub and my favorite orchid having propagated itself into a section at the front of the garden in full flower. It is these thoughts of Spring that were my inspiration for the card I am sharing with you today for the TUC Challenge.
Whatever the season where you are, I hope you enjoy spending time with the best it has to offer.

Lovely card and thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos of Spring! Those frogs are toooo cute!
I love the wild life your garden brings. It sometimes is hard to remember that other parts of the world are not entering Autumn like the US is. I love lightness of your card- very Springlike!
Very pretty card. Love seeing the wonderful pictures from your garden, especially the little frogs.
Lovely card, I really like the layering. Your pictures are amazing! The picture of the lorikeet is stunning.
Thanks for participating in the challenge Danie. Your card is very fresh looking and really adds to the spring feeling. Thanks too for sharing your garden pictures. The lorikeets are beautiful and you are very lucky to have these birds in your garden
Oh Danie I love your card...most of all I love your pictures. Bean and I are sitting here and he is going nuts over the frogs...saying "mom can she send them to me?". I would love you to email more pics of your garden and critters that live in your garden.
thanks for sharing the pix of those frogs!
Love your fabulous spring card, Danielle!
Your photos are awesome. We still have to get through autumn and winter before we can look forward to the beauties of spring!
