Dazzling Dasher & Colour a Plenty

Its been over a week since my last post, and although I haven't shared any creations with you I have been creating.

On Saturday I travelled two hours with two of my close friends to attend a Christmas Card Workshop in the beautiful beachside town of Coffs Harbour which is where I went on holidays back in September.  Plus I have also been busy creating Christmas Cards to send to my friends in the TUC Blog Group Christmas Swap.  Concentrating on Christmas, I have also been playing with making my own Christmas Wrapping Paper.

I have mentioned before Stampin' Up! have some beautiful new Christmas Stamps and today I am showing you a card made with my personal favorite, which is the beautiful Dasher Reindeer Stamp from the A La Carte Menu (stamps sold individually not as part of a set).

For my card I have used traditional colours of Old Olive and Riding Hood Red with Choc Chip and Whisper White.  The DSP is now retired as it was from the 2009 - 2010 Catalogue that I had left over.

I have played with Dasher a bit and I can tell you he looks just gorgeous embossed in Silver or Gold.  To add even more sparkle you could add some bling to his antlers.

As well as creating, following nearly a full month of rainy days I have also been enjoying the pleasant Spring weather.  I so enjoy this time of year for its  stunning array of flowers in bloom and the constant chatter around my home of many different birds.

Last week I discovered my Brazilian Walking Plant in Flower.  This  only flowers for one day so my timing was perfect.  Isn't it stunning?

Yesterday I discovered a large vivid green tree frog who I am not sure was too well in my Brazilian Walking Plant and discovered one of my newer Bromeliads just starting to flower.

You can see the tiny pink buds starting to form.  I love Bromeliads as there are so many colour variations and flower variations.  They are also very frog friendly.  I often find smaller green frogs emerged in the water in the middle of the bromeliads around my garden.

I so enjoy Spring/Summer as it always brings me closer to the nature in my backyard, and we have lots of bbq's with friends and family, plus the colours you discover can often be great inspiration for your papercrafting.

Please keep your fingers crossed  for me that this beautiful weather can last until the weekend as we are having Solar Power Panels installed on Friday.
