Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone, that's right the day has finally arrived and it's hard to believe another year is almost over.

I want to thank everyone for all their support and comments over the last year since I began blogging, particularly my good friends in the TUIC Blog Group who have encouraged and inspired me throughout the year.

From my family to yours I want to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous and Safe New Year.  I hope you enjoy the time spent over this holiday period with your family and friends and that Santa brings you all everything you desired.

It is a wet Christmas Day here today.  Which means the temperatures are cooler than most years so in that way it is a blessing as we won't be sweltering over our lunch and in need of the airconditioner.

I wanted to share today a last minute project I quickly did up yesterday. which is the place settings, (place mats and napkin rings) I made to use on our Christmas Table for lunch today.

The placemats are simply pieces of A4 Cardstock coated with Gold Metallic Acrylic Paint.  Using the dabber the paint comes in enabled me to get a bit of a textural effect happening.  I then simply applied a piece of metallic gold ribbon to one side and sprinkled some star sprinkles randomly over each one.

The napkin ring holder is simply the core of your paper towel roll, cut to size, covered the same way as the placemat with acrylic paint, a bow is tied using the same gold metallic ribbon and to this I have added a glitter encrusted Gold Star.

Very quick, very easy and a very simple decorating idea,  Add it to my table where I have some scattered stars, gold and purple wrapped chocolates and have a few other touches which all continue the gold/star theme (except for the plants) and their you have it.   Plenty of room left for all the fabulous food we will be sharing today.

Don't forget to head over to the ScrapLounge in January to see what challenges they have in store for you.  I can give you a little hint that the one of them involves something I have used in the projects I have shared with you today.  There will be plenty of great examples in the gallery to inspire you, from the Creative Team and I will be sharing some of my projects here throughout January as well.

I hope you get sometime for crafting over the holidays until next time, Happy Stamping
