A Bit of Tropical Inspiration!

Every week on the Scrap Lounge they have a Be Inspired Challenge.   Last weeks little bit of inspiration was to be taken from this photo.

When I first saw this photo it reminded me of some of the beautiful water and beaches we saw on our Tassie Holiday, so I dug out these photos....didn't use them for this challenge but did for the CyberCrop Challenges one of which I shared with you yesterday.

The inspiration I actually did take from this photo for this challenge was the beautiful turquoise colour of the water, the ripples on the water from the tide and the beautiful pink of the tropical flowers.

This is the card I came up with with these things in mind.

All items used to make this card except for the Bling are Stampin' Up!.

The colours are Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo.  I have used a background stamp with Tempting Turquoise Ink to create the rippled effect.  The blossoms are from the Eastern Blooms (one of my favorite sets) and Itty Bitty Bits Sets.  The Sentiment is from Whimsical Words.
