Tis The Season to start thinking Christmas!

Hi Everyone!  I have been seeing lots of lovely Christmas Cards being made by my fellow crafty friends of late that I was inspired to at least start thinking that I should be making some too.  Then I read somewhere that it was only 169 days till Christmas, which really struck a chord as Christmas does have a way of sneaking up on you.  So when I saw that Digi Haven was having a Christmas in July Challenge I thought I'd join the fun and make a start on my Christmas Cards too!

To play along with the Digi Haven Challenges you have to use a freebie Digi Image so I set out on a search to find an image.  I didn't have to go to far, as last week I had stumbled across the delightful blog of Sliekje Digi Stamps so I popped back and found this cute little guy.

I colored him in with my Trias, sponged the edges with some distress ink and added some holly leaves and a berry brad over the holly and berries on the image for a little bit of dimension.

I then have simply layered this over some coordinating Stampin' Up! Papers I have had in a my stash for a couple of years, as I thought the holly one in particular went perfectly with the image.

I am also entering this card into the latest challenges at:-

LEJ Designs Challenges Blog - #11 Animals
Forever Friends - #40 Christmas in July (must have an animal).
