One Month to Go!

The boys and myself are on the countdown to our week in Melbourne, which is now only one month away.  'A' hasn't been before, and for Rod and I it will be about our fifth trip but we are just as excited as our first.  Melbourne really is one of our favorite destinations, with lots to see and fabulous food and wine to experience.  This trip plans to be a totally different experience having A with us and a crafty event to go to.

For the first two days the boys will be on their own as I am heading to a crafty get together with my fellow Australian and New Zealand AFA (ATC's for All Members) and I am so looking forward to putting names to the faces of those I swap my art with regularly as well as meeting some of whom I have yet had the pleasure.

Speaking of swaps and ATC's I have a couple to share with you today for one of the latest AFA Swaps titled Down by the Ocean/Down by the Sea.  All of which are mixed media collage (mix of stamping, Gelatos, Water Color Pencils and Collage) on Gelli Print Backgrounds which were created using stencils.

 Hanging Out

Wave Rider

 Lighting the Way

Rainbow Reflections

For this swap one card had to have an animal you would find in or near the ocean, the second card had to have someone wearing a bathing suit, and the third one was artists choice.  Whilst the forth card is for the host/hostess of the swap and is optional.

Challenges:

My Wave Rider Card I am entering into Wicked Wednesdays - #82 Sun & Surf

Anything But a Card - #18 ATC Extravaganza

Lovely set of seaside cards, Danie! I bet the AFA Downunder meet will be so much fun! I'm a bit jealous though, being a European member who hasn't attended any of the live meets yet. We so have to organize a similar event of our own one day!

Love your ATCs. Your colors are so vivid and perfect for by the sea settings. You are having way too much fun with those gelatos and gelli print thing. But your results are amazing. TFS

Gorgeous set of ATC's Danie! I love the backgrounds you've created using your gelli plate; they show off the main characters on each one perfectly.
