WOYWW #217

Hi Everyone!  Well it's hump day, Wednesday, the middle of yet another week.  Can you believe tomorrow we will be in August.  With that said It's time for everyone to again share "What is on your Work Desk" with the lovely group of global crafters that link up every Wednesday over at Julia's Blog.  If you would like to join the fun, be sure to pop over and see what it's all about.

My desk at 8.00am this somewhat fine Wednesday morning.

This past week, I have been working on a few different projects, as well as doing some reorganizing.

This included a Scrapbook Page featuring my Cat Felix playing with Paper when we were unpacking, and my Flat Fabio Mists, Inktense Pencils and Gelatos got a good workout this past week creating some backgrounds for my Journal, ATC's and Cards.  Yesterday I used some of the backgrounds I created from sopping up the excess/mess from my misting play to create some cards for the Unity Stamp Co Itty Bitty A Day Challenge.  You can see those cards here on my post from yesterday.

The box on the right of the above picture is my Altered Pages Order which I picked up from the Post Office yesterday afternoon. Lots of fabulous new goodies to play with here and I can't wait to unpack it.

In reorganizing I moved my Big Shot over onto my main work desk.  The plan is to put up a piece of peg board on the side wall here to hang up some of my dies and embossing folders.

On Sunday I also brought a new trolley which fits perfectly between my desk and shelving. It enabled me to get some more stuff out of drawers etc so that it more easily in reach and I can see it.

And Hubby bringing home a whole heap of empty 5kg Margarine Tubs from his work meant that I was able to sort and store some of my smaller papers and scraps better.

So that's my desk and crafting space this week, and as some of you haven't yet met my kitties, and I know there is heaps of cat lovers out there I thought I would leave you today with one of the photos I am scrapping which is of Felix playing in the paper and one of his sister BB who is a kleptomaniac.  The proof is right here as she is playing with a role of washi tape she has stolen from one of my craft room shelves.

I hope you all have a great week.   Happy WOYWW!

Hi Danie, Thanks for the suggestions with the use of the UTEE. I chased everyone from the room while trying to use that stuff. I've never used it before, so I'm sure practice will make perfect, right?? So I've decided I wanna come over and play. You have some really great toys. I've never used a die cutter before, or Gelatos. Which look like lots of fun to use. There are just soo many art mediums to choose from, it's hard to pick n' choose. I also want to comment on your absolutely beautiful furry friend. Well thanks for stopping by. Have a great week. (((HUGS)))

Oh the kitties are beautiful. Gotta love a pet with character! Nearly broke my screen trying to get in close enough to see into the box of new goodies - Oh my, you know how to order! I agree about having stuff in your line of vision too - it gets used far more if not in a drawer. Well, that's my excuse anyway.

That is such a great picture of your lovely at playing in the paper I would want to scrap that to!!!!!

Wow! Lots of super organized stash! I am in love with Felix. Would he like to meet my beautiful Daisy - ginger and white with gorgeous big green eyes? She likes to help and is particularly interested in 'organizing' ribbon and twine. She thinks she's a Libran!!! Julie Ann #12

I want to play with your new goodies too! :) I have two furry helpers too...Honestly I don't think a project is complete without a black kitty hair somewhere on it. LOL!!!

That parcel looks SO exciting ... wish I could come play - but 12,000 miles is perhaps just a bit far. Love the new storage system. I use commercial ice cream tubs!!
Cute little kitties - they do have a mind of their own, don't they. Thanks for visiting - didn't know I had the patience either, 'til I tried it and was hooked!
Have a great week.

That looks like a fabulous box of goodies to play with, lucky you. Lots of great storage there too, something we all struggle to find room for.

Great lot of goodies. Don't we all have too much stuff on our work desks rather than in drawers? How else do we have such a variety of things at our finger tips? Have a great WOYWW week. Kind regards, john-w #23

One of the things WOYWW is fab for is great storage ideas. I've found so many great solutions by desk hopping. Now, if I only had room for a trolley....

:)

Happy WOYWW!

Wonderful tidy up, and I agree, it's a balance between having everything is sight so you use it, but not cluttering up your desk so much you can't use it!! Have fun with the new goodies! Love the kitties, how on earth do you tell them apart, they look identical! I'm a mostly self taught knitter, I've learnt the hard way, but getting better!

You are so neat and tidy when you craft Danie. Love your reorganization and the cart so you can see things and use them. I put mine in a safe place and then forget to use them. Love the kitties.

You can never have enough margarine tubs, they are so darn useful! I love to keep paints and embossing powders in them so it is easy to just lift out and place on the desk when I want to play.
You have two gorgeous cats too! Annette #1 for the first time in 4 years!

What absolutely beautiful puss cats!! Are they British Blues? They look right characters :-)
And those massive marg tubs are fantastic...I think your hubby could run a good line to many crafters there!!

I love your idea of the trolley, but, on reflection, it would just become a target for my kleptomaniac dog, Gemma. She steals anything that is not nailed down, and chews things to pieces. Thank you for your visit. I, too have had rotary trimmers up till now, but each one cut slightly off skew. This guillotine can cut accurate slivers off paper or card. It is also self sharpening. The only thing it will not do is the fancy cuts that the rotary blades can do. Hope your clearout goes well. xx Maggie #48

I'm a bit late visiting this week....I had a really manic day yesterday with my sewing. Thought I'd call in before today became the same!
Fab crafting space. Enjoy playing with all your new stash. Your cats are gorgeous...such pretty faces.

What a lovely journey through your post this morning (sorry I am late) starting off with your desk, showing your re-organisation and ending up with two delightful and beautiful cats.
Love the wheelie trolley - I have my die cutting on one but it resides outside my room and gets trundled in when in use. Only because my room won't take it full time.
Keep enjoying those gelatos and other things.

Hi Danie, your desk is looking great and you've obviously got your "crafting head" on this week. That box of goodies looks inviting - I'd have struggled not to open it in the Post Office car park! I can see why you had to scrap the pic of Felix at play - irresistible! Hope you have a great week and thank you for your visit. MMx #42

What a wonderfully organised space, Danie - nice tubs from your hubby's work - waay to go!! I love the new trolley, too. As for your kitties, aren't they just gorgeous... We had a kleptomaniac kitty called Bella who used to pinch my hubby's watch and glasses off his bedside table during the night, and when he woke up he'd have to go looking for them, and she usually hid them behind the chest of drawers! Little magpie!

Thanks for your lovely comment. Yes, I'm glad the pressure is off re Mum's arrival - we really need the time, and the builders won't have finished in time anyway. It's been a really hectic year, clearing and selling their house and getting Mum sorted with my sister while we are doing up the new place, and also dealing with getting Dad settled into residential care with his dementia. My poor hubby is exhausted!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Ooh, what beautiful kitties! They look so regal...but obviously they are very mischievous! :) It looks like your crafting space is very well organized for you...isn't it interesting how our spaces evolve as we change our crafting habits? I moved my craft room around twice since last WOYWW, one reason I am so late on returning your visit, and its still a bit chaotic but I'll show it off anyways this week! lol :) Thanks for stopping by my desk earlier and leaving me a comment already. Hope you enjoyed your WOYWW! :) Deeyll
