Cards in Envy - Winged Things

Hi Everyone!  I've been a bit quite of late haven't I?  Well this was partly due to having hubby home sick for the past week and partly because I have been having a bit of a spring clean (in Autumn) in my craft room making room for a new desk that hubby had recently brought me.  This meant I had to move my old one out and rearrange a few other bits and pieces which then spread to doing this in a few other areas of the house also, we have sorted through and thrown out books and bric a brac which had all been collecting dust and made a trip with them to the local charity thrift store.  We have another load to go out also.  It's felt good decluttering a little.

Anyhow I am back and have a card for this fortnight's challenge at cards in Envy to share.  The theme is Winged Things.  I had actually made this card with something else in mind but it fitted this theme perfectly

I initially created a ATC with some leftover patterned paper and collages images from Altered Pages (Chirpy Goodness and Vintage Eggs).  I cut out the birds, a nest and some eggs adhered them to my background and then added some faux stitching.  The flower was also cut out and stuck to my piece.  I added a touch of kindy glitz to it's centre.

The blue and green tonings of this ATC then inspired the choices for the rest of my card once more using leftovers from previous projects.
