A soft and joyful Christmas Card

There has always been something about the color blue and snowflakes that I love at Christmas Time, maybe it's because I live in a region that never sees snow and we are in the heat of Late Spring/Early Summer when December arrives.

Recently I followed along with the Gecko Galz Blog Hop where at each stop there was a free collage sheet to download.  One of these collage sheets was entitled Christmas Visions and I immediately fell in love with this ever so cute image on this Collage Sheet.  I couldn't wait to use it to create a card and link up to their Christmas Joy Customer Challenge and decided to play along with a couple of other challenge which this card suited also.  They are listed below.

Supplies used:
  • Bubble wrap
  • Gecko Galz Collage Image from Christmas Visions Collage Sheet
  • Ranger Archival Ink - Colbalt and Cornflour Blue
  • Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko Memento Luxe Ink - Pistachio
  • Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko Delicata Ink - Golden Glitz
  • Pan Pastels - Turquoise, Turquoise Shade
  • Adhesive Mesh Tape (Hardware Store)
  • Cardstock, Stampin' Up
  • Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Divine Swirls
  • Stamps - Stampin Up Baroque Motifs, Darkroom Door Christmas Reindeer, Heidi Grace/Fiskars Snowflakes Background.
  • Double Sided Tape and Foam Squares

On Monday I got the lovely surprise of receiving an email advising me that I was the lucky winner of one of the major prizes from this hop.......As of January 2015 I will be receiving their monthly collage sheet collections each month for a year!  I am so excited as I love playing with collage, so no doubt you will be seeing some of these images very soon in my projects.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:-

City Crafter Challenge Blog - My Deer (must use a deer on your card).
Use your Stuff Challenge - #160 Snow (my snow background stamp from Heidi Grace/Fiskars which I haven't used in over 2 years and the mesh tape from the hardware store).
