I have a Christmas Card to share today which is full of color. It features a Vintage Santa Image from the Altered Pages Collage Sheet Santa Then and Santa Now.
The multitude of color is courtesy of one of my mop up sheets of lightweight card, that I have used to sop up excess spray inks from other projects. I normally either use this or paper towel to mop up and I try to reuse them as backgrounds.
I have added some stamping in coordinating inks to this piece before adding it to my card base. I used a Darkroom Door Polka Dot Texture Stamp with Purple Archival Ink and an old favorite, a Stamping Up Flourish Stamp from the Baroque Motifs Set with Red Archival Ink.
My sentiment is one from the well used Reindeer Christmas Stamp Set by Darkroom Door and was stamped in purple. I have fussy cut out two of my chosen Santa Image so I could add some dimension, by cutting out part of the second image to layer on top of the first. I trimmed around Santa and cut his legs off for the top layer.
A small rectangle of Red Cardstock was run through the Big Shot with the Cuttle Bug Divine Swirls Embossing Folder to give a color to ground my Santa so he didn't get totally lost in my busy background. I also added a small punched photo corner to each corner of my background piece.

Great vintage santa image. I like the bright colors. I like how you used your cardstock to mop up your ink and reused it for your background. Such a great idea.
