Cards for a Cause - Card Making Afternoon

PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION
OF AUSTRALIA FUNDRAISER

As some of you may previously have been aware or read, I am hosting a fundraiser in September to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and unlike other cancers such as Breast Cancer it does not receive as much attention hence why I chose this cause.  It also allows us girls to show support for the men in our lives.

In 2010 it is estimated that 20,000 men in Australia will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and of this number tragically 3,300 will die from this disease.  Prostate Cancer is the second greatest cause of cancer deaths in men.

My co host Sue and I will be holding a Card Making Afternoon and you are all invited to attend.  The details are as follows:

Date:  Saturday 11th September 2010
Time:  1.30pm - 5.00pm
Venue:  Uniting Church Hall
Cnr Diary and Canterbury Streets, Casino
Cost:  $15
RSVP:  Friday 3rd September, 2010
Ph (02) 66622567 or 0431 353978

Your $15 admission enables you to make the five cards on the day, includes a scrumptious afternoon tea, a take home goodies bag, plus you will also recieve the prostate cancer lapel pin and have a chance to win stacks of great door prizes which have been donated by Stampin Up!.  There will also be additional raffles held on the day.

Novices are more than welcome; most components will be precut and there will instructors on hand to assist you.

I hope to see you there, with your friends.

PS.  If you cannot attend but would like to support this worthy cause by making a monetary donation it would be much appreciated.  All donations will be recorded on an Official PCFA receipt and any donation over $2 is tax deductible.  If you wish to make a donation using your credit card please make them direct to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia by contacting 1800 220 099.
