The Waiting is Challenging

This morning I was waiting for a phone call regarding my father, who had been admitted to hospital yesterday.  Living three hours from my parents causes me to stress over situations like this, however I knew my sister was close at hand, and until I knew more all I could do was wait.

To take my mind off things, I headed to my craft room and decided to take a look at some of the Card Making Challenges on Splitcoast Stampers.  I always love a challenge, so instead of participating in just one, I decided to make a card combining three challenges.

The first challenge was a sketch (SC309) which I used for the card layout, the second challenge was to use the colour combination of Real Red, Old Olive and River Rock (CC299) and the third challenge was to make a CAS Card incorporating a flower accent (CAS95)

I usually do CAS Cards a little more clean and simple however my card still has one main focal point and lots of uncluttered space on it so it would pass.  And yes it is another Christmas Card Design.

I finally did receive the phone call I was waiting for and all is well.   My Dad is now home,  he just has to rest for a few days and has been given some very strong (knock you out type) painkillers.

So I guess no more waiting just creating is on the cards for the rest of the day......(pardon the pun).
