Scavenger Hunt to Scrap Layout Challenge

You may remember yesterday I told you about the Cyber Crop over at the Scrap Lounge.  They have 3 challenges and a game of sorts and so I just had to have a bit of fun and see what it was all about.

On Friday the Game was a Scavenger Hunt, you were given a list of 10 items you had to find in your stash and take a photo of, they were.

1. A shell, 2. A piece of predominately orange or yellow paper or cardstock, 3. A piece of raffia or natural coloured twine, rope or string, 4. A photo featuring water, 5. A piece of fabric, 6. 3 different embellishments in predominately yellow or orange or blue, 7. brown alphabet letters (can be stickers, cut from a magazine or thickers for example), 8. Leaves (can be real or fake), 9. Brown ink (pinecone is acceptable), 10. Rub ons OR an overlay

My first 10 items for the Scavenger Hunt

The first person to post a photo to the gallery of these ten items won a small prize.
The next day they added a further five Bonus items, which were
1. A piece of yellow, orange or blue ribbon, 2. 2 or more brads, 3. White pen, 4. Lace or a doiley, 5. A button (only one!)

Once you had all these items you had to scrap a layout using them.  For each of the first ten items used you would receive 10 points, and for any bonus item 2 pts if you used all 15 items you also recieved 5 bonus points.

Here is my layout, I used all items bar one - the rub ons which I forgot......lol.  It didn't matter cos as part of the Creative Team I wouldn't be eligible for the prize anyway.......it was just fun to play along with - it got me thinking outside of the box.  The photo I chose of water was the beach at Orford Tasmania, which overlooks Maria Island. Discovering beautiful beaches was definitely a highlight of our holiday to Tasmania in 2008.

I have scrapped some of the other photos of our Tasmanian Holiday for some of the other challenges in this cybercrop which I will share with you over the coming days.
