A Sketch, A Cluster, A Card and a Scrap Layout

Each month at the ScrapLounge there is a Sketch Challenge.  This month it was my turn to come up with the Sketch for everyone to use as the starting point for their inspiration.  I like basic sketches that are open to interpretation and that allow many possibilities.  Because this month our technique Challenge is focussing on Embellishment Clusters I wanted this definitely to be the case with my sketch.

Lots of White space leaves lots of room for embellishment, and with Clusters in mind for my Example using my sketch I decided to use a Cluster or Collage of Photos.  I simple created my Mosaic Collage using Picasa on my computer.

This layout contains photos of a visit to Cockington Green Gardens, where beautiful landscaped gardens combine with superbly crafted minature villages, landscapes, and people.

All the flowers have been either punched or die cut, and I have stamped using a stamp from Itty Bitty Bits kit around the smaller semi circle where my journalling is and randomly around my other embellishments.   A prima bling flourish, Kaiser Brads and 3 stamped All a Flutter Butterflies finishes it off.

I then decided to also make and example of a card using this sketch, I simply turned the sketch to do so.

Given we are heading into Autumn here in Australia, I chose to use Autumn Colours.  This was also because the two semi circles used on the card were from the Serendipity Paper I made in a class recently and they had brown and gold tones.

The Vintage Tickets, Heart Button and Skeleton Leaves were part of the items in this months Creative Team Kit supplied by the ScrapLounge and the flowers, bling were from my Stash.  The word Cherish is from the SU Baroque Motifs Stamp Set an is stamped with Black Staz On Ink.

So there you have, a sketch, a cluster, a card and a scrap layout.
