Seeing Spots, or is that dots or circles.

I have been checking out alot of Challenge Blogs lately and recently I found a great Australian Challenge Blog that is sponsored by one of my favorite Stamp Companies - Darkroom Door.  The site is called Inkurable Stampers and this months challenge is to create a project inspired by the theme of spots, dots and circles.

There are so many things which can represent this theme, although I don't have many stamps that do.  I thought about using my Swiss Dot embossing folder as a background, stamping with some bubble wrap but when I thought about it some more I was drawn to my Stampin' Up! Medallion Stamp as it contains circles and spots/dots within the medallion image.

So I stamped this on kraft card in Sepia Archival Ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I then sponged some Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist and Cajun Craze over the image to add spots of colour.

For further embellishment and colour I then decided to use my scallop border punch, after all the scallop is a semi-circle.  Lately I have been making heaps of wonderful roses made from layering a number of scallop circles together, and decided for yet another circle touch to add a rhinestone to the centre.  My final touch was to add a touch of Polka Dot Ribbon to layer under my card sentiment.

I am looking forward to following the Inkurable Stampers Challenge Blog and seeing all the wonderful entries to their challenge aswell as seeing what theme they have instore for us next month.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Danie
just discovered you through Inkurables. I love this card! I have the medallion stamp but sadly I haven't used it to its potential. This has inspired me to use it and also to try the acetate and paint technique. Thanks!

Hi Rossylalah, Thank you for kind words. I am so pleased you have found inspiration by visiting my blog. That is why I started it in the first place as well as to have a record of my creative journey. I would love to see your inspired creations sometime.
