WOYWW #254

It's been absolute ages since I have linked up with the wonderful Julia's What's on Your Workdesk Linky Party, anyhow I had the camera sitting on my desk having taken some shots of last nights full lunar eclipse and thought I would make the effort today and catch up with everyone's desks.

The past few months have been busy with various children in for short term emergency placement and respite care, undergoing surgery and just the everyday.  But this week I've had some much needed 'No one else to think too much about' - me time, so I got into crafting mode which appears to be in full Mail Art Swing this month.  Its a theme being featured this month over At Unruly PaperArts, Altered Pages and is also the Challenge Theme I discovered yesterday over at Deep Red Stamps.  I've been busy making postcards, ATC's and Moo Cards and this weekend I am hoping to play over at the Easter ArtAthon at ATC's For All.  Anyhow here's a look at just what is on my Desk this fine and sunny Wednesday.

To the left of my main photo you will see I have piled up all my stencils.  Some are in need of a good clean and I also need to find a better way of storing them.  If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.  In the centre and my main current project is one I am doing for Altered Pages Monthly Trending Tuesday Post.  The items I have showing in this photo may just give away part of what it is all about.

I have also pulled out my Deep Red Stamps with the idea of playing along with their current Mail Art Challenge.  I found some old postcards from back in my Stamping Up Demo Days I thought I would alter.

As today progressed I painted my Chipboard TeaCup Green and teamed it up with a Die Cut Large Eyelet Envelope (A Quickcutz Die) to complete my project, if you want to see more you'll have to wait until next Tuesday sorry.

Anyhow that's it from me for today, I am off to think about and get a start on my Deep Red Challenge Project as well as visit my fellow WOYWWer's and see what they have been up to.

Happy Wednesday

Hello Danielle. You certainly have had your hands full this past few weeks and months. I trust you are really able to enjoy some R&R as you craft. What unusual stamps - they are great - not come across them before.
Have a special Easter.

Hello Danielle, another blog I don't recall visiting before (that means nothing, I have a really bad memory). Mmmm, teacups... I wonder what that could be about? I have just had to decant my stencils into a second folder as I err.... bought a few more .... I tend to keep them in their original packaging (I cut straight across the top) until it dies and keep them in an A4 plastic wallet. I may however consider shoe box storage at some stage but to be honest they are all different sizes and my OCD can't cope with that in boxes.....Happy WOYWW and Happy Easter, Cindy #59

Hi Danie, nice to see you again, and I'm glad you are finding some time to be creative in the midst of the wonderful work you are quite obviously doing with the children. Regarding storing stencils, I cut mine from A4 sheets and store them in loose-leaf protective transparent sleeves in a ring binder. In with each one is a piece of paper that has been used with the stencil as that pattern is easier to see and identify than the stencil itself. Hope this helps.

I love your teacup theme - something close to my heart these days as I continue to experiment with my teabag art!

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment. Yes, I am well settled into my new ARThaven now and beginning to enjoy the benefits of all that space, and different work zones, and the great lighting. I reallly love that room!! It makes me feel good just to be in there. Glad you like the knitting - it's coming on well, and I am excited that I can now produce more yarn in whatever colour I want, now I've got my dyeing up and running again, so I needn't worry about running out.

Have a lovely Easter, and happy belated WOYWW,

I keep my stencils in one of those long flat Ferrero Rocher boxes - downside is having to eat the chocolates first though! Such a trial. Loving the colour combo if the items on your desk. Thanks for visiting me and Happy Easter BJ#44
