This month over at Unruly PaperArts the theme is Let's Face It. Featuring all things on how to incorporate faces into your Art. From the whimsical to the realistic its all there.
So my article for Unruly this month will be sharing some musings, a little bit of history and my project playing with Pan Pastels but it took a bit of a different turn to what I was originally working on so today I am sharing some of my original plans.
Oriental Faces of Geishas and those of Buddahs often grace my creations, and when I started thinking about faces in my everyday life I immediately thought of the Buddhas that contribute to my home decor, and Geishas, along with the calmness, serenity, the peace and wisdom that they so often symbolize and express.
Perhaps that is a reflection of where I am personally as we kick off the new year also and hence why I was drawn this way.
I will share my Buddah Creations that will be part of my Unruly Article a little later this month here on my blog.
I hope that your year has started off peacefully for you.
